Scheduled Reports

Any report you can download from the Export Data panel can also be scheduled to run automatically and be emailed to a set of recipients — no need to remember to download it every week. See Exporting Data for what each report type and option means.

Setting up a schedule

  1. Open the Export Data panel and configure the report exactly as you would for a manual download — report type, format, transform, filters, and any other options.

  2. Click Schedule (next to Download Report) instead of downloading.

  3. In the Schedule this report dialog, choose Recipients — search for and select the study members who should receive the report. Recipients must be existing study users; you cannot enter an arbitrary email address that is not already a member of the study.

  4. Choose a Frequency:

    FrequencyWhat you configure
    DailyA time of day
WeeklyA day of the week and a time of day
MonthlyA day of the month (1–28) and a time of day
Custom (cron)A standard 5-field cron expression, interpreted in UTC
    • For Daily, Weekly, and Monthly, also set the Time and Timezone the report should run in.
    • For Custom (cron), enter the cron expression directly — for example 0 9 * * 1 runs every Monday at 9:00 AM UTC. This option is intended for users already familiar with cron syntax.
  5. Click Send test now to generate and email the report immediately with the current settings, without creating a schedule. Use this to confirm the recipients and the report itself look right before committing to a recurring cadence.

  6. Click Schedule to save. The report now runs automatically and emails every selected recipient on the configured cadence.

Managing existing schedules

Click Scheduled Reports at the top of the Export Data panel to see every schedule configured for the study. Each entry shows:

  • the report type and the recipient count and list,
  • a plain-language summary of the cadence — for example, "Weekly on Monday at 09:00 (America/Los_Angeles)",
  • whether the schedule is active or paused,
  • the outcome and timestamp of its most recent run.

From this list you can:

  • Pause / resume — the play/pause button stops or restarts a schedule without deleting it. A paused schedule keeps its configuration and can be resumed at any time.
  • Delete — the trash icon permanently removes the schedule. This cannot be undone; create a new schedule if you need it again.

Notes

  • A schedule always re-runs the exact export configuration it was created with. Changing your selections in the Export Data panel afterward does not affect existing schedules — create a new schedule if you need different settings.
  • The report is delivered as an email attachment to each recipient. If a scheduled run fails, that failure is reflected in the schedule's last-run status.
